Peniche is a seaside municipality and city in Portugal. It is known for its scenic harbour, white windmills, chapels and long, sandy, and consistently windy beaches, which are popular for surfing, windsurfing, bodyboarding and kite surfing due to, among other things, having good surf breaks with Supertubos. The Berlengas islands are about 10 kilometres offshore from the peninsula and formed one of the world's first nature reserves.
